As an observer, the Global CCS Institute attends the UNFCCC Bonn Climate Conference, a key annual event that sets the stage for COP negotiations. As part of our engagement, we hosted a webinar featuring Noora Al Amer, Senior International Climate Change Policy Advisor, who shared timely insights on the outcomes of the conference and their implications for carbon capture and storage (CCS) and carbon management.
Held every year in Bonn, Germany, the conference convenes the UNFCCC’s permanent subsidiary bodies including the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA) and the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI), to advance global climate action. With observers and stakeholders from around the world, it serves as a critical forum for shaping climate policy and technical progress.
The Institute was on the ground to monitor negotiations, contribute to CCS knowledge exchange, and bring back key takeaways.
Watch the webinar recording to explore how these developments impact the future of CCS.
