About the Forum
The Global CCS Institute is delighted to host the 2025 Middle East and Africa Forum on Carbon Capture and Storage in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates in November 2025. Across the Middle East and Africa, CCS has shifted from ambition to execution: storage is being certified, capture deployed, MRV frameworks operational, and policy signals converging. Cross-border CCS cooperation and synergies with low-carbon fuels are aligning CCS projects into stronger value chains.
The Forum, will be a public event held on the grounds of the prominent ADIPEC conference, is an opportunity to hear from key players supporting the scale-up of CCS in the MEA region, including policy and government leaders, researchers and academics, project developers, and industry experts.
We will examine how to turn this alignment into scale—advancing CC technologies, bankable capture for hard-to-abate sectors and emerging economies, and transboundary CO₂ transport underpinned by credible MRV and emerging carbon markets.
Held every year, this event is an opportunity to hear from key players supporting the scale-up of CCS, including policy and government leaders, researchers and academics, project developers, industry experts, and those in the financial sector.
When and Where
Date: 6th November 2025
Location: Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), Al Rawdah - W59 01 Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi United Arab Emirates
Format: In Person
Key Topics
During the event, discussions will highlight critical issues shaping the CCS market in the MEA region and beyond. Key themes include the role of finance in enabling large-scale CCS deployment, cross-border collaboration opportunities, advances in innovative technologies, the potential of Direct Air Carbon Capture (DACC), and the integration of CCS into broader climate and energy strategies. The meeting will provide insights into policy developments, emerging markets, and opportunities for regional and global cooperation to accelerate climate action.
Join Us
Join us in Abu Dhabi in November 2025 to be part of the conversation shaping the future of CCS in the Middle East and Africa. Don’t miss this opportunity to engage with policy leaders, industry experts, academics, and financial institutions.
